Architectural Scene

In this resist of the frosted fantasy lamp that I made a little while earlier, I wanted to try and make it a more complete scene. The asset itself was already in a place where I liked it, and alterations I made were minimal (a bit of touch up on some of the roots and the polypaint of the glass panes). So instead I focused on pulling it into an environment where it would belong. Since I'd already covered it in snow, I decided to put it in a snowy, wintery forest surrounded by dead trees. Figuring out how to put together the trees took a little bit of fiddling, but overall they weren't too difficult once I started kitbashing the branches. The other challenging thing was merging the trees and lamp with the base, which I accomplished by building up the "snow" around them with clay tubes, then made sure that the alpha I used for snow was still capable of handling the new geometry. Coming back to this, I'd probably try to make the lamp glow warmly, but for now this is the current progress.
