Hand Anatomy Study

When creating this piece, I encountered for the second time in my modeling career my artistic arch nemesis: human anatomy. Hands especially have always been difficult for me, and I've historically had difficulties getting a good idea of how they're shaped and how they work. Sometimes I'll even look at my own hand and not really understand what I'm seeing, so doing this piece really did help me to step back and try to see a hand as a collection of shapes rather than a complete form. Also, the fingers kept looking noodle-y, so that was a fun time trying to figure out how to make them not look like noodles.
